Crohn’s Disease Reversed!

Jennifer came to the Goldberg Tener Clinic with a thirty year history of Crohn’s Disease. She had taken Prednisone, 6 MP and Pentasa prescribed by her Gastroenterologist and also had emergency surgery to remove a portion of her GI tract prior to seeking our assistance. Dr. Tener’s Commentary

Few appreciate the extraordinary suffering thousands of people endure from the ongoing torture of chronic Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Children and adults alike suffer from these syndromes which often result in a lifetime of severe pain, life disruption and hopelessness.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease is a general term used to refer to inflammatory diseases of the intestine (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis) which are medically considered to be of unknown cause. Medical treatments have focused on suppressing symptoms with immunosuppressant drugs  (e.g. Prednisone, methotrexate, Biologics). While these drugs can bring about a temporary abatement in the patient’s symptoms through pharmaceutical suppression of the immune system, they fail to restore health and carry with them significant, sometimes serious side effects including infection, nausea, serious liver damage, allergic reactions, Lymphoma and other cancers and Tuberculosis. The failure of drug therapy which is commonplace, often leads to the surgical removal of portions of  the bowel or a complete colectomy (removal of the entire colon) resulting in ongoing complications and suffering.

Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis need not lead to hopelessness and a life of misery.
