Crohn’s Disease Success Story: Alyssa Avoids Surgery, Eliminates Drugs and Restores Her Health

For years, Alyssa struggled with the debilitating effects of Crohn’s Disease.

  • Digestive pain.

  • Inflammation.

  • Progressive symptoms.

  • Ongoing medical treatment.

Despite years of medical care and drugs, her condition continued to worsen.

Like so many patients diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Alyssa was ultimately told that surgery to remove a portion of her intestine was becoming unavoidable. But her story did not end there.

A 5-Year Struggle with Crohn’s Disease

Alyssa came to the Goldberg Tener Clinic following a five-year history of Crohn’s Disease.

During that time, she underwent conventional medical treatment and was prescribed multiple medications, including Prednisone and Entyvio.

Despite aggressive treatment, her health continued to decline. This pattern is common in patients suffering with Crohn’s Disease and other autoimmune disorders. Symptoms may temporarily improve, only to return again. Medications are changed, doses are increased and stronger interventions are introduced as the underlying causes driving inflammation remain unaddressed. Eventually, many patients are told surgery is necessary.

When Treatment Fails to Restore Health

Crohn’s Disease is commonly approached as a lifelong condition requiring ongoing medical management. The focus typically becomes:

  • Suppressing inflammation

  • Managing symptoms

  • Controlling flare-ups

  • Preventing further deterioration

But symptom management is not the same as restoring health.

At the Goldberg Tener Clinic, we take a different approach.

Rather than asking:

“What treatment should be used?”

We ask:

“Why did this develop?” That question changes everything.

Alyssa’s Outcome

Under our care, Alyssa experienced a dramatic improvement in her health.

  • Her inflammatory blood markers are normal

  • Follow-up colonoscopy showed no evidence of active disease

  • She is drug free

  • Surgery is no longer needed

  • She has regained her energy, health, and quality of life. Most importantly, Alyssa now has a completely different future than the one she was originally told to expect.

We Do Not Treat Disease. We Build Health.

Since 1976, the Goldberg Tener Clinic has focused on helping patients reverse chronic health conditions by identifying and addressing underlying causes rather than simply managing symptoms.

Our Bio-Hygienic Approach™ focuses on:

  • Building health

  • Restoring normal function

  • Addressing causal factors

  • Creating the right conditions for recovery

Because health is not prescribed.

It is built.
